ABOUT CIHAND

Coalition of Indian Housing Authorities in North Dakota (CIHAND) was established in 2002 by tribal housing professionals. CIHAND is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization comprised of the five tribes in the State of North Dakota: Three Affiliated Tribes (Mandan, Hidatsa & Arikara), Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Spirit Lake Nation, Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate and the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

CIHAND operates as a unified tribal voice to address the unmet housing needs in Indian Country. CIHAND has made a positive impact by forming partnerships with housing related entities, banks, funders, and advocacy groups to address and formulate strategies on housing issues.

CIHAND sponsors an annual conference bringing together national leaders, professionals, and recognized experts in the field of housing. CIHAND offers specialized training on a quarterly basis. Please view the Training page for further information.
